Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the SMART 2026 National Quiz ticketing platform operated by Elitrasmart Ltd. By creating an account or buying a ticket you accept them.
The event these tickets are for is SMART 2026 National Quiz, at NIPA Hall, Lusaka. Tickets are sold for individual days, and these are the days on sale:
- Day 1 · Wed 28 Oct 2026
- Day 2 · Thu 29 Oct 2026
- Day 3 · Fri 30 Oct 2026
Each day's ticket admits you on that day only. The dates are also shown on the event page, and any change to them is covered under Changes and cancellation below.
Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must confirm your email address before buying. Tickets are delivered by email, so an unverified address cannot be used to purchase.
- You must be able to enter into a binding contract to buy a ticket.
Tickets and prices
- Prices are in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and are per ticket, per day. Any taxes that apply are included in the price shown, and the service fee for a Mobile Money payment is shown separately before you pay.
- A ticket admits one person on the day printed on it, chosen when you buy. You can buy tickets for more than one day in the same order, either in one go or by choosing different days.
- Prices and allocations may change before you complete a purchase. The price you are shown at checkout is the price that applies to your order.
- You may buy more than one ticket in a single order, up to the per-order limit shown on the page.
- Your tickets are held for a limited time while you pay. If payment is not confirmed within that time the hold expires and the tickets return to the pool.
- A ticket is only issued once payment has been confirmed. An accepted Mobile Money request, on its own, is not a completed payment.
Paying
- We accept Mobile Money through PawaPay and Cash through the designated Elitrasmart Ltd payment process.
- We do not accept card payments.
- For Mobile Money you approve the payment on your own phone. We never ask for your Mobile Money PIN.
- Before a payment request is sent, we show you the number it will go to and ask you to confirm it. A prompt goes to whichever phone owns that number, so check it: a prompt sent to somebody else's phone cannot be approved by you.
- Mobile Money payments are processed by PawaPay and are subject to your provider's terms.
- Mobile Money tickets can be bought online at any time. The trading hours published on our contact page apply to our branches and to cash payments.
- Cash orders are reserved, not paid. Tickets are issued only once an authorised member of staff confirms receipt of the cash.
When a payment does not go through
- If a payment fails, is declined or is not completed in time, you can try the same order again and its tickets are held again for a further few minutes, without choosing them a second time. An order can be retried for 24 hours and for up to five payment attempts; after that, please start a new order, as prices and availability may have moved on.
- You can also cancel a request you have not paid from the order's status page. That releases the tickets immediately and nothing is charged.
- Never approve a second payment for the same order. A phone can show the same request more than once, and approving it twice does not charge you twice - but starting a second request and approving both would. If in doubt, check the status on the order page before paying again.
- Cancelling cannot recall a prompt that is already on its way to your phone. If you approve it after cancelling, that payment still completes and your tickets are still issued.
Cash reservations
- Choosing Cash reserves your tickets without paying for them. You are given a reservation number: it is the order reference on your order page and in your email.
- Pay in person at any Elitrasmart branch, within 24 hours of reserving, quoting that reservation number. Branch addresses and trading hours are on our contact page.
- A member of staff records the payment, and your tickets are issued once it is confirmed. Until then the reservation is held, not paid.
- If it is not paid within 24 hours the reservation is cancelled automatically and the tickets return to sale. Nothing is owed, and you are free to reserve again.
- You may also cancel a reservation yourself from the order's status page if you change your mind, which releases the tickets for somebody else straight away.
- A reservation holds the tickets for those 24 hours only; it does not guarantee the price or availability beyond them.
Service fee
- A service fee is added to Mobile Money payments to cover the charges the Mobile Money provider and PawaPay make on that payment, and our handling of it. It is shown separately, with the total you will pay, before you approve anything.
- Cash payments carry no service fee.
- The service fee covers a charge we incur as soon as the payment is made, so it is not refundable, including where a refund of the ticket price is approved. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Delivery of tickets
- Tickets are emailed to the address on your account, with a PDF and a unique QR code per ticket. If you buy five tickets you receive five separate PDFs, each with its own code.
- You can also view and download your tickets from your dashboard at any time.
- Treat your QR code like cash. Anyone holding it can be admitted, and we cannot reissue or refund a ticket that has been used by someone else.
Admission
- Each ticket admits one person, once, on the day printed on it. A second scan is refused as already used.
- If you arrive on a day your ticket is not valid for, the entrance team will see that and will tell you which day you hold. Admission on another day is at the organiser's discretion and cannot be guaranteed, and we cannot reissue a day's ticket for a day that has sold out.
- Bring the ticket with you - the QR code on your phone is enough. A ticket can also be found by its ticket number if the code will not scan.
- We may refuse admission, or remove anyone, for abusive behaviour, fraud, or a breach of venue rules.
- Venue rules and any security requirements apply in addition to these terms.
Changes and cancellation
We aim to run the event as advertised. If we change the date, venue or a material part of the programme, or if we cancel the event, we will tell ticket holders using the contact details on their account and explain what happens to their tickets. See our Refund Policy for the options available to you.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- buy tickets by automated means, or with the intention of reselling them commercially without our written agreement;
- copy, alter, or forge a ticket or QR code, or attempt to gain entry with one;
- interfere with the platform, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or probe or overload our systems.
We may cancel orders and tickets, without refund, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
Our liability
We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, our liability for any claim relating to a ticket is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Availability
We try to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Mobile Money payments depend on PawaPay and your provider, and a provider may be temporarily unavailable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia, and the courts of Zambia have jurisdiction.
